Blue House for a Small Family

Bagac, Bataan

1.jpg

The Blue House is a house for a seafarer's small family.

Situated somewhere in Bagac, Bataan, the lot is inside a newly developed subdivision. The young family has decided to settle away from the highly-urbanized cities for a fresh start.

Most of the time in a year, the head of the household is away from home making privacy an utmost concern. The main facade of the house is almost blind of any fenestration while the sides are almost open with huge windows from floor to ceiling.

Most of the time in a year, the head of the household is away from home making privacy an utmost concern. The main facade of the house facing the road is almost blind of any fenestration while the sides are made almost open with huge windows from floor to ceiling. The house only occupies less than a quarter of the whole lot as the clients only want a small, intimate space for  the interior. The outdoor space however should be a large enough area for a small pool, lawn/greenery and play area for their pets and two children to run around,

Seen from the sides through floor-to-ceiling openings are the pool from one end by the kitchen and an outdoor art display from the other side by the living area. The whole ground floor has cross-ventilation for energy efficiency and maximized view.
